The District of Easington Community Safety Team, as part of the Council's Community Regeneration Unit is central to delivering the aim of making the district a safer place in which to live and work.
Our Mission Statement is:
"To improve the quality of life for local people by improving public safety"
The Community Safety Team works with a diverse range of organisations brought together in the District of Easington Community Safety Partnership to co-ordinate the activities of the Community Safety Partnership (CSP) for the district.
The Community Safety Partnership conducts a Crime and Disorder Audit in the district every three years. Using this information a Community Safety Strategy is developed.
The CSP is made up of a large number of organisations working together to reduce crime and disorder and the fear of crime and disorder in the District of Easington. Following an audit of crime and disorder we have developed a strategy for the period 2005-08 This strategy has been based upon concerns expressed by the public and knowledge and data provided by the partner agencies.
