Recycling bags distribution delay

Distribution of green re-usable recycling bags to District of Easington residents has been held up because of supply problems.

This will mean that some residents will not get their recycling bags by the 1st April as originally planned.

Deliveries are now expected to be made from Wednesday 2nd April and it is hoped that all residents will receive their bags before their first collection date.

Keith Parkinson, Environmental Health and Licensing Manager at District of Easington said: “We are sorry that residents may be inconvenienced by this hold up and ask that they are patient whilst we rush through the supplies of bags.”
