East Durham residents are being offered free energy-saving gadgets in exchange for their views on climate change.
District of Easington Council has teamed up with energy supplier E-on to give away 300 power-saving home computer switches.
For the chance of winning one of the sets members of the public are asked to complete a survey, giving their views on energy issues such as reducing fuel bills and tackling climate change.
The successful winners, who will also receive a free energy-saving light bulb, will be chosen with a prize draw.
Surveys are available from libraries across the district, where council staff will also be running information sessions on the authority’s Warm Homes campaign.
